Worked on security hardening for the DataDog/cilium repository by enhancing the Cilium Helm chart. Focused on adding missing security context configurations to the agent, Hubble relay, and UI containers, the work enforced reduced privileges and stricter seccomp profiles to strengthen the overall container security posture. This approach reduced the attack surface and improved baseline compliance for Kubernetes deployments. The changes were implemented using YAML and Helm, leveraging DevOps and security best practices. All modifications were consolidated into a single, auditable commit, improving traceability and maintainability for future updates while ensuring that security improvements were clearly documented and reviewable.
