Worked on the key4hep/k4geo repository to advance detector geometry readiness for Pandora workflows, focusing on both system compatibility and future extensibility. Updated the detector model to align with the latest external dependencies and configuration, ensuring the system remained current without introducing code changes. Enhanced the calorimeter geometry by integrating a CaloDataLayer snippet into the ECalBarrel, supporting improved data processing for Pandora. Additionally, added preparatory header files for Material Manager and Vector3D to facilitate upcoming geometry and material calculations. Utilized C++, Geant4, and header file management to deliver targeted, forward-compatible features within a focused one-month development period.
November 2024 – key4hep/k4geo: Focused on keeping the detector model current and advancing geometry readiness for Pandora workflows. The detector model was updated to the latest external version with no code changes, ensuring alignment with updated dependencies and configuration. Calorimeter geometry was enhanced with a CaloDataLayer integration for Pandora in the ECalBarrel, and preparatory header inclusions were added for Material Manager and Vector3D to enable future geometry/material calculations. These changes improve system compatibility, forward-compatibility, and readiness for upcoming data processing pipelines.
