Developed and integrated the NBA Statistics Server into the modelcontextprotocol/servers repository, enabling centralized access to both recent and historical NBA game statistics through the Community Servers list. The work focused on enhancing data discoverability and streamlining user workflows by exposing NBA stats via the MCP server, laying the foundation for future analytics capabilities. The implementation was delivered as a single, traceable commit and involved updating Markdown-based documentation to ensure clarity for community users. Skills in community management and documentation were applied throughout the process, with an emphasis on maintainability and extensibility. No bug fixes were required during this period.
