Worked on the IntelliSat repository to deliver a robust timing foundation for periodic system updates in an embedded environment. Developed and integrated a heartbeat timer module using TIM7, centralizing timing responsibilities and replacing legacy SysTick-based logic to improve system reliability and maintainability. The approach involved removing outdated system_timer code and simplifying the timing architecture, which reduced potential sources of timing-related bugs. Additionally, cleaned up the development environment by eliminating IDE-specific configuration files, streamlining onboarding and build reproducibility. Utilized C programming, firmware development, and timer configuration skills to enhance observability and establish a scalable path for future feature expansion.
