During September 2025, Wenxu upgraded the scancode-toolkit dependency from version 32.4.0 to 32.4.1 in the dotnet/sdk repository, focusing on enhancing the reliability of vulnerability scanning. Wenxu implemented this change through Shell scripting, specifically by updating the install-scancode.sh build script to ensure a consistent and reproducible build environment. This upgrade incorporated upstream bug fixes and performance improvements, reducing the risk of known issues and expanding scanning capabilities. Although the scope was limited to a single feature, the work demonstrated careful attention to traceability and minimal surface area, reflecting a methodical approach to build scripting and dependency management.
