Worked on stabilizing ad-hoc filter behavior in the grafana/grafana repository, focusing on a targeted bug fix to improve dashboard reliability. Addressed an issue where undefined and empty arrays in adHocVariableFiltersEqual led to false unsaved-changes indicators, which could disrupt user workflows. Used TypeScript and front end development skills to implement empty-array fallbacks before comparison logic, ensuring that undefined and empty arrays are treated equivalently. This defensive approach enhanced dashboard state consistency across sessions and improved filter parity for dashboards using ad-hoc filters. Emphasized clear, isolated changes and thorough testing to support maintainability and ease of future code review.
