Worked on stability and data freshness improvements in the mozilla/looker-spoke-default repository, focusing on cache behavior for mobile search metrics. Addressed a bug by removing the persist_with configuration from the mobile_search_clients_daily_v1 datagroup and updating the related LookML references, including commenting out the datagroup’s LKML include. This technical approach simplified cache invalidation logic, reduced the risk of stale data, and improved daily metric performance. Utilized skills in Data Modeling and Looker, with changes committed for traceability. The work enhanced maintainability by aligning LookML with the updated cache strategy and providing clear documentation of the modifications made.
