Worked on the Metrolist repository, focusing on enhancing the Android user experience through both feature development and code maintenance. Developed a new SliderStyle squiggly label state in the settings interface, providing improved visual feedback by dynamically displaying a squiggly state when appropriate. Addressed inconsistencies in Android service startup by refactoring MusicWidgetReceiver and TurntableWidgetReceiver, removing version-specific checks and standardizing the use of context.startService across devices. This approach improved reliability and reduced platform-specific bugs. The work demonstrated proficiency in Android development, Kotlin, and UI/UX design, with attention to maintainable code and consistent behavior across different mobile environments.
