Developed and integrated Arm CPU telemetry capabilities into the google/perfetto repository, focusing on a dedicated UI plugin for loading, inspecting, and validating Arm CPU specifications. Leveraged TypeScript and front end development skills to create a new interface for analyzing Arm CPU specs, persisting them across sessions, and enabling trace-load integration that computes and registers per-CPU metric tracks from PMU counter data. Built infrastructure for generating metric tables and views, allowing users to perform detailed CPU performance analysis directly in the UI. The work emphasized full stack development, with ongoing stabilization to ensure robust Arm telemetry integration and streamlined diagnostics.
June 2026: Delivered Arm CPU telemetry capabilities in Perfetto by introducing a dedicated ArmTelemetry UI plugin and end-to-end support for PMU-based CPU metrics. Implemented a new UI page for loading/analyzing Arm CPU specs, persisted specs across page reloads, and integrated spec-driven processing into trace loading. Created the necessary views/tables and registered per-CPU metric tracks under the Hardware workspace, enabling richer Arm CPU performance analysis and faster diagnostics. Major bugs fixed: None reported this month; stabilization of Arm telemetry integration ongoing.
