
During September 2025, Milewski developed a WiFi Network Activity Tracing UI and high-volume packet capture feature for the google/perfetto repository. This work introduced a dedicated Network section in the UI, enabling detailed capture of 802.11 layer events, packet traffic, and custom driver-specific ftrace events. Using JavaScript and TypeScript, Milewski extended the trace recorder with new controls and a specialized buffer for high-throughput network data, supporting advanced debugging tools and system trace workflows. The feature deepened observability for wireless deployments, allowing for more effective diagnosis and root-cause analysis of complex WiFi issues through improved data capture and visualization.
