Worked on enhancing the Android process state change data model within the google/perfetto repository, focusing on improving data processing efficiency and reducing pipeline complexity. Developed a feature that consolidated freezelite atrace data into the AndroidProcessStateChangedEvent proto, introducing freeze policy fields to streamline data handling. This change eliminated an obsolete tracing artifact, reducing data fragmentation and simplifying the processing path. The work aligned with a specific bug report to address underlying issues in data consolidation and state change processing. Utilized protocol buffers and system design expertise, with all changes thoroughly documented in a comprehensive commit to ensure clarity and maintainability.
