Worked on the frappe/hrms repository to address a critical issue in the Employee Attendance Tool, focusing on backend development using Python. Identified and corrected an incorrect field name used for filtering employees by grade, which previously caused server errors and compromised attendance data integrity. The solution involved careful debugging, code hygiene improvements, and thorough validation through regression and end-to-end testing to ensure robust filter functionality. By resolving this bug, the work reduced the risk of downtime and improved the reliability of attendance reporting. Demonstrated attention to detail in field-name mapping and contributed to more accurate data handling within the HRMS system.
