During June 2026, work focused on enhancing the cdce8p/ha-core repository by developing a testing fixture for the GIEX Watering Timer, integrated with the Tuya API. This feature expanded the testing framework to support device status, configuration, and function validation, improving quality assurance for Tuya-integrated devices. The fixture was modeled as a reusable component, supporting maintainability and future device management needs. Implementation relied on JSON for device definitions and leveraged skills in API integration and automated testing. By embedding the fixture into the continuous integration process, the work increased test coverage and reliability for Tuya device support within the project.
