During October 2025, Alex Weber focused on backend development for the envoyproxy/ai-gateway repository, addressing a critical reliability issue in AWS Bedrock integration. Alex identified and resolved a bug where ARNs in Bedrock inference profile request paths were not properly URL-encoded, which previously led to invalid URLs and disrupted communication. By implementing a fix in Go that ensures forward slashes within ARNs are correctly escaped, Alex improved the stability and reliability of Bedrock requests.
