Adithya Akkr worked on expanding Malayalam language support for the jellyfin/jellyfin-androidtv repository, focusing on localization improvements for both Jellyfin Android and Android TV applications. Using Weblate as the translation workflow platform, Adithya increased Malayalam translation coverage from 38.4% to 50.4%, updating 67 strings in XML format. This work streamlined the internationalization process and reduced the localization backlog, making the apps more accessible to Malayalam-speaking users. The approach demonstrated proficiency in cross-platform localization, commit management, and i18n best practices. Over the month, Adithya contributed one feature, with no bugs reported, reflecting focused and incremental engineering depth.
