Developed and integrated Snowflake OAuth authentication within the sodadata/soda-core repository, enabling secure, OAuth-based connections to Snowflake data sources. Focused on Python for implementation, the work involved adding OAuth client credentials and token request properties to the SnowflakeDataSource, wiring these parameters directly into the underlying connection logic. This approach reduced credential exposure and aligned the authentication process with enterprise security standards. The month’s efforts centered on building and stabilizing the OAuth integration rather than bug fixes, laying a foundation for future enhancements in authentication. The work demonstrated skills in authentication, cloud data warehousing, and data engineering within a production environment.
