Worked on maintaining stability and compatibility within the sodadata/soda-core repository by addressing a versioning issue during April 2026. Focused on Python development, dependency management, and version control, the work involved reverting a version bump from 4.7.0 to 4.6.1rc0 across multiple modules to restore a previous release candidate. This rollback was carefully validated to minimize regression risk and ensure reliable deployments for downstream consumers. Documentation and release notes were updated to reflect the emphasis on stability. The approach prioritized preserving compatibility and maintaining robust RC-quality deployments, demonstrating a methodical and detail-oriented approach to software maintenance and release management.
