During April 2025, Ahogappa developed a new feature for the ruby/typeprof repository, focusing on improving the onboarding experience for users. They implemented a --init option in the TypeProf CLI, which automatically generates a default configuration file named typeprof.conf.jsonc. This file includes essential defaults such as the version and RBS directory, streamlining the initial setup process. By leveraging their skills in CLI development and configuration management, and working primarily with Ruby and JSON, Ahogappa reduced setup friction for new users. The work addressed a clear usability gap, providing a practical baseline configuration to facilitate easier adoption of TypeProf.
