Worked on the uc-cdis/gen3-helm repository to enhance deployment configuration by introducing an amiOwner field to the amiSelectorTerms in Helm chart values. This addition allowed for more precise targeting of Amazon Machine Images during Kubernetes deployments, reducing the risk of misconfiguration and improving release stability. The technical approach involved updating YAML-based Helm values and incrementing the chart version to 0.6.24 to maintain compatibility with downstream environments. Leveraging DevOps practices and expertise in Helm and Kubernetes, the work focused on aligning AMI selection logic with evolving requirements, ensuring that deployment processes remained robust and adaptable to infrastructure changes.
