Aleh M. developed a governance-enhancing feature for the localstack/moto repository, enabling the Resource Groups Tagging API to filter ECS Task Definitions by tags. Using Python and leveraging skills in API development and AWS resource management, Aleh implemented backend logic that iterates through ECS task definitions and applies tag-based filters, improving resource discovery and policy enforcement. The work included adding an end-to-end test to verify accurate retrieval of ECS task definitions by tags, which strengthens test coverage and reduces regression risk. Over the month, Aleh focused on backend development and testing, delivering a targeted solution without introducing new bugs.
