Worked on the localstack/moto repository to address a bug in SSM parameter tag filtering, focusing on backend development and cloud services mocking using Python. Improved the correctness of the describe_parameters operation so that it accurately reflects tag additions, updates, and removals, ensuring that parameter discovery and tag-based access control are reliable for customers. Expanded the test suite to cover multiple tag scenarios, reducing the risk of future regressions and enhancing overall test coverage. The solution maintained performance while increasing reliability, demonstrating a methodical approach to testing and bug fixing in cloud service emulation environments with an emphasis on robust, maintainable code.
