Worked on authentication and session management improvements for the canonical/maas-ui repository, focusing on enhancing security and user experience. Developed a hardened authentication flow using React, Redux, and TypeScript, introducing external session expiration checks and automatic invalidation of stale sessions to ensure users are logged out when necessary. Adjusted login behavior to prevent redundant external login prompts for already authenticated users, streamlining the authentication process. Integrated changes to align with Candid and RBAC requirements for version 3.8, strengthening authorization reliability. The work improved the maintainability and security posture of the authentication module, with clear traceability to specific repository commits.
