Worked on the blakeblackshear/frigate repository to enhance the reliability of containerized services by implementing a graceful Docker container shutdown configuration. Addressed the risk of data loss or corruption during shutdown by introducing stop_grace_period and stop_timeout settings to both Docker Compose and docker run workflows. This approach ensured that services had adequate time to complete ongoing operations before termination. The work included comprehensive documentation updates in Markdown to guide users through the new configuration options. Leveraged skills in Docker and technical documentation to deliver a focused feature that improved operational safety for users managing containers in production environments.
