Worked on the apache/iceberg-go repository to enhance data safety and developer experience by focusing on API correctness and advanced delete semantics. Addressed a case-sensitivity issue in the Overwrite API, refactoring parameter handling to improve flexibility and correctness. Developed a new table delete operation supporting copy-on-write semantics, enabling row-level predicate deletes and integrating with existing transaction logic. Added merge-on-read delete functionality, allowing generation of position delete files without rewriting data files, and expanded integration tests for robust validation. Utilized Go and Python, applying skills in API development, backend engineering, and data processing to deliver features that improve performance and maintainability.
