Worked on the kgateway-dev/kgateway repository, focusing on backend development and protocol handling using Go. Addressed a reliability issue in protocol parsing by implementing a case-insensitive approach, ensuring that appProtocol values are consistently lowercased before parsing. This change resolved inconsistencies when handling protocols such as HTTP2, reducing production risk in critical parsing paths. Automated tests were added to validate the new logic and prevent future regressions. No new features were introduced during this period, but the targeted bug fix and comprehensive testing contributed to more stable and predictable protocol behavior in the core backend infrastructure of the project.
