Worked on upgrading the Electrum Bitcoin wallet package in the pacstall/pacstall-programs repository, focusing on improving package management processes and dependency handling. The update advanced Electrum from version 4.4.5 to 4.6.2, aligning the package with upstream releases and reducing upgrade friction for users. Using Shell scripting, the developer refined build dependencies by adding libsecp256k1-dev and python3 as makedepends while removing unnecessary runtime dependencies. Maintainer information was also updated to reflect current project ownership. This targeted work enhanced packaging stability and reliability, laying the groundwork for smoother future upgrades and more maintainable package management within the repository.
