Worked on the pacstall/pacstall-programs repository to deliver a core upgrade of Waydroid from version 1.4.3 to 1.5.4, focusing on enhancing performance and stability within the Waydroid environment. The approach involved updating key dependencies, specifically libgbinder-deb and libglibutil-deb, to ensure compatibility and improved system behavior. Leveraging skills in package management and system administration, the work emphasized reproducible builds and clear traceability through well-documented commits. Shell scripting was used to manage the upgrade process, addressing stability and compatibility concerns without introducing new bugs. The result was a more robust and maintainable package for end users.
