Worked on the astronomer/ap-vendor repository to enhance the security and reliability of the metrics collection stack, specifically focusing on Datadog StatsD integration. Addressed compatibility by upgrading Datadogstatsd and StatsD dependencies and aligning the integration with the latest Datadog agent versions. Improved the Dockerfile by configuring the metrics service to run as a non-root user, reducing privilege risks in containerized environments. Removed a deprecated ignore file to streamline ongoing maintenance and support compliance. Utilized Docker, YAML, and containerization best practices to strengthen observability reliability, simplify future upgrades, and improve the overall security posture of the vendor repository.
