Worked on the openwrt/packages repository to deliver a targeted bug fix for the Watchcat health check, focusing on network management and system administration. Addressed an issue in the ping_reboot script by ensuring the interface variable was correctly populated, which enabled connectivity validation on specific interfaces. This Shell scripting solution improved monitoring reliability by reducing false negatives and streamlining the triage process. The work adhered to OpenWrt’s packaging standards, maintaining backward compatibility and code maintainability. Over the course of the month, contributed by enhancing the robustness of interface-specific health checks, demonstrating attention to detail in network reliability and system-level scripting.
