During November 2025, Alexander Nekowitsch enhanced the Sonarr/Sonarr repository by developing a feature that introduced a minimum score threshold for importing shows from MyAnimeList. This backend improvement, implemented in C# with a focus on API integration, enabled automated filtering of imported content based on user-defined quality criteria. By integrating threshold-based logic directly into the import workflow, Alexander reduced the inclusion of low-score shows, streamlining the automation pipeline and improving content relevance for users. The work was delivered as a focused, low-risk update, with supporting documentation to facilitate future maintenance and scalability of the MAL import functionality within Sonarr.
