During February 2026, Viet-An Tran developed multi-currency support for the actualbudget/actual repository, focusing on integrating Vietnamese Dong (VND) as a selectable currency. He implemented TypeScript-based front end logic to ensure VND was accurately represented throughout the application, including adjustments to number formatting that reflect Vietnamese conventions. His work established a localization scaffolding, laying the foundation for future expansion to additional currencies and regional formats. Although the project scope was limited to a single feature and did not involve bug fixes, the technical depth included careful handling of currency formatting and release preparation, demonstrating proficiency in TypeScript and front end development.
