Worked on modernizing and stabilizing the confluentinc/rest-utils repository, focusing on Jakarta Servlet API migration and Jetty 12 compatibility. Delivered extensive handler and import updates to support the new API, reinforced security through authentication and authorization improvements, and enhanced SSL/TLS handling. Upgraded dependencies such as jersey and jackson for consistent builds, while improving WebSocket and HTTP initialization stability. Refactored logging by removing unused handlers and aligning code with Jetty 12 requirements. Updated and deduplicated integration tests to maintain reliability and regression coverage. Utilized Java, Jakarta EE, and backend development skills to reduce upgrade risk and streamline release processes.
