Worked on the confluentinc/rest-utils repository to enhance system stability by addressing dependency management challenges. Focused on aligning Spiffe dependencies to compatible versions and removing unused artifacts, which reduced runtime conflicts and streamlined the build process. Utilized Java and Maven to update dependency configurations, resulting in improved CI build times and greater reliability during deployments. The changes also enhanced interoperability with SPIFFE-enabled identity services, lowering integration risks across different environments. By concentrating on bug resolution rather than feature development, the work demonstrated a methodical approach to maintaining code health and ensuring smoother deployments through careful dependency and artifact management.
