Arni delivered Icelandic locale formatting for the waybar clock in the basecamp/omarchy repository, enhancing the user experience for Icelandic-speaking users. This feature involved updating configuration management files using JSONC to ensure the clock displayed time and date information according to Icelandic conventions. Arni applied front end development skills to integrate the locale seamlessly into the existing codebase, focusing on maintainability and future extensibility for additional locales. While no bugs were addressed during this period, the work strengthened the project’s localization pipeline and laid the groundwork for broader globalization efforts. The contribution was well-scoped and technically sound for the project’s needs.
