Worked on enhancing the Plex binding within the openhab/openhab-addons repository by delivering a feature that improves configuration handling for Plex integrations. Focused on enabling hostname-based matching against Plex configurations, the work involved refining server configuration logic and introducing more robust error handling through a new CONFIGURATION_ERROR state. Improved logging was also implemented to facilitate easier debugging and faster issue resolution. Using Java and leveraging skills in API integration and configuration management, the changes increased the reliability and flexibility of Plex deployments in openHAB. The update addressed configuration-related issues and broadened deployment scenarios, all delivered in a single, focused commit.
