Worked on the openhab/openhabian repository to enhance Zigbee2MQTT integration, focusing on both stability and upgrade support. Addressed installation reliability by pinning Zigbee2MQTT to version 1.42.0 and replacing generic git operations with explicit fetch and checkout commands, ensuring reproducible deployments. Later, implemented support for Zigbee2MQTT v2.x, updating Node.js and pnpm dependencies, and introducing a web-based setup flow. Developed logic to handle existing v1 installations, prompting users for manual upgrades to mitigate breaking changes. Utilized skills in DevOps, shell scripting, and system administration, with work primarily in bash, javascript, and yaml to improve home automation deployment consistency.
