Worked on the Submitty/Submitty repository to deliver a user experience improvement that replaced popup windows for file and attachment viewing with standard browser tabs. This change, implemented through a Forum-context refactor using JavaScript and front end development skills, allowed users to resize, bookmark, and navigate files and attachments using native browser features. The update aimed to modernize the UI, reduce user friction, and address a long-standing usability issue, particularly in forum and grading workflows. No new tests were required for this UX-focused enhancement, which was developed collaboratively and aligned with broader product goals to improve accessibility and consistency.
