Addressed a critical build failure by pinning setuptools-scm to version 8.1.0, which restored bdist_wheel compatibility and resolved a ptf-py3 build issue specific to Bullseye. This targeted fix reduced release blockers and improved CI reliability, supporting smoother cross-distro releases. Leveraged skills in build engineering and CI/CD, with a focus on Dockerfile management and dependency control. The work emphasized maintaining cross-distribution consistency, minimizing the risk of distro-specific issues, and enhancing the overall stability of the build process.
