Worked on the DARPA-ASKEM/askem-beaker repository to enhance the stability and maintainability of the stratification workflow. Focused on backend development using Python, the work addressed a bug that previously allowed unintended modifications to model parameters during stratification. Introduced a parameter retention mechanism, enabling specific model parameters to be preserved and ensuring more controlled, accurate stratification processes. Additionally, performed targeted code formatting and model editing, including whitespace and indentation adjustments, to improve code readability and maintainability. All changes were isolated and well-documented, contributing to a more reliable codebase without introducing new features, and emphasizing careful, traceable engineering practices.
