Worked on the catppuccin/nix repository to address asset directory permission issues in the Gitea packaging layer. Focused on configuration management and DevOps practices, the work involved explicitly creating required asset directories with correct user and group permissions, ensuring stable and permission-safe setups across different environments. Leveraged Nix and version-aware scripting to introduce conditional logic that adapts directory structures based on the Gitea package version, preventing runtime permission errors. This approach improved the reliability and maintainability of the packaging process by enforcing proper ownership and directory creation, ultimately reducing install-time and runtime failures in Nix/NixOS deployments.
