Worked on enhancing the reliability and user experience of the kaina404/PDFMathTranslate repository by focusing on robust error handling and clear user communication. Addressed rate-limiting issues in the OpenAI translation integration by increasing the retry limit from three to one hundred, ensuring more resilient API interactions. Improved the graphical user interface by correcting the grammar of error messages, providing users with more professional and accurate feedback. Utilized Python for both API integration and code refactoring, maintaining high code quality through targeted bug fixes and clear commit traceability. The work demonstrated attention to detail and a methodical approach to incremental improvements.
