Worked on the openwrt/packages repository to deliver an upstream-aligned update for the mdns-repeater package, focusing on maintaining reproducibility and accurate metadata. The update involved refreshing the source URL, source date, version, and mirror hash, as well as adjusting the package release number to ensure consistency with upstream changes. This approach improved security and feature parity with the latest mdns-repeater release while reducing drift within the OpenWrt package ecosystem. The work relied on Makefile for build system management, emphasizing traceability through explicit commit references and simplifying future maintenance by aligning closely with upstream development practices. No bugs were reported or fixed.
