Worked on the Shopify/roast repository to deliver a Customizable Workflow Step Paths feature, enabling users to specify custom paths for individual workflow steps within configuration files. This required updating the step loading logic in Ruby to support non-default directories, increasing flexibility for complex workflow management scenarios. Comprehensive tests were added using Ruby and YAML to validate both the new path resolution behavior and maintain backward compatibility. No major bugs were addressed during this period, but overall stability improved through focused changes and enhanced test coverage. The work demonstrated a methodical approach to configuration management and workflow customization within a Rails environment.
