Over a two-month period, contributed to the meilisearch/meilisearch-python and meilisearch/meilisearch-rust repositories by delivering three new features focused on backend development and API enhancements. In Python, enabled flexible index management by adding support for renaming indexes and improved developer onboarding through expanded documentation, including new code samples for advanced search functionalities. In Rust, implemented a search query performance insights feature that introduced per-query latency and processing-step visibility, allowing users to access detailed performance metrics directly in the search UI. Work demonstrated proficiency in Python, Rust, and API development, with an emphasis on usability, observability, and maintainable documentation.
