Balachandar Rajarathinam developed a Quality of Service (QoS) buffer pool size upgrade for the Nokia IXR7220-D4-36D platform within the sonic-net/sonic-buildimage repository. He increased the ingress lossless buffer pool from 61,293,228 to 84,219,120, enabling enhanced QoS profiles and improved traffic management on the new Nokia D4 platform. His work focused on buffer management and network configuration, leveraging Jinja2 templates to implement the changes. This upgrade addressed the need for higher QoS demands, strengthening platform readiness and reliability. Over the month, Balachandar’s engineering contributed depth in Quality of Service and platform-specific configuration without introducing new bugs.
