Worked on enhancing localization readiness for the Metrolist repository by introducing Japanese language support, specifically adding a new Japanese string for the 'other_results' UI element. Leveraged Android development skills and XML to align string keys and integrate with the Weblate translation workflow, which enabled ongoing translation progress and streamlined future localization efforts. Focused on maintaining code stability while preparing the application for broader internationalization, ensuring that the localization pipeline was robust and regression-free. This work laid the foundation for expanding Metrolist’s reach in the Japanese market by reducing language barriers and supporting a more accessible, fully localized user interface.
