Worked on enhancing network path monitoring in the openwrt/packages repository by implementing new features and addressing reliability issues. Developed and integrated an nslookup-based tracking method into Mwan3, adding availability checks to improve monitoring accuracy and reduce troubleshooting time. Addressed a bug in the Mwan3 tracking script by updating nping command-line arguments to use IP address family selection, which increased the robustness of network tracking. Utilized shell scripting and system administration skills to deliver these improvements, and updated the package version to reflect the changes. The work resulted in a more reliable and maintainable network monitoring solution for users.
