Delivered a centralized service health monitoring feature for the kobotoolbox/kpi repository, focusing on backend and API development using Django and Python. The work involved consolidating the legacy kobocat service health check into the primary service health endpoint, eliminating redundant legacy endpoints, and centralizing all health checks within the main service health view. This approach reduced maintenance overhead and streamlined monitoring processes, resulting in improved reliability for service health reporting. No major bugs were addressed during this period, as the primary emphasis was on feature delivery. The implementation demonstrates a methodical approach to backend service monitoring and endpoint management.
