Worked on the block/buzz repository to enhance reliability and user experience by addressing two critical bugs. Focused on frontend development using React and TypeScript, implementing a synchronous mention debounce flush to ensure autocomplete suggestions always reflect the latest user input when pressing Tab or Enter, thereby preventing stale results. Improved end-to-end testing stability with Playwright by introducing a polling mechanism for live subscriptions, mocking image responses for custom emoji, and replacing unreliable frame-count assertions with height-based checks and an animation wait helper. These changes reduced flaky UI test failures, improved CI stability, and supported safer, more predictable releases for the BUZZ feature set.
