Worked on foundational TEI XML enhancements for La Bruyère’s Les Caractères in the cschuwey/UBS_M1_TEI repository, focusing on improving metadata quality, document structure, and semantic tagging to support richer downstream processing and search capabilities. The approach centered on refining TEI-compliant metadata, introducing new glyph definitions, and implementing entity tagging for figures such as Louis XIV, enabling more precise semantic search and rendering. Utilized XML and text encoding skills to strengthen data quality and establish a robust framework for future analytics. No major bugs were addressed, as efforts prioritized feature delivery and validation of new TEI features over bug fixing.
